My Story
Hi, I’m Jonah Antonio — a professional basketball player for the Illawarra Hawks (NBL) and a former NCAA Division I athlete.

This journey means more to me than most people might realize. Growing up in Australia, I knew almost nothing about America or college basketball. As a teenager, I took a leap of faith — leaving home to chase a dream I didn’t fully understand.

That journey started with a hard lesson. I ended up at a fake prep school in Wichita, Kansas, and quickly realized I’d been misled. Thankfully, I met a coach who helped me get out and connected me with Sunrise Christian Academy, one of the top prep programs in the U.S. It was a massive wake-up call — the difference between junior basketball in Australia and America was worlds apart.

During my time at Sunrise, I earned a Division I scholarship to Mount St. Mary’s University. Like many young players, I had bigger goals, so I transferred to a JUCO program to become immediately eligible and continue improving. That move changed everything — I became one of the top-ranked JUCO players in the country, receiving over 30 Division I offers.

From there, I committed to UNLV, where I loved my time but battled through injury. After graduating, I transferred again — this time to Wake Forest University in the ACC — achieving my dream of playing Power Five basketball. Competing against legendary coaches like Coach K and Roy Williams before they retired was something I’ll never forget.
These experiences — ones that less than 1% of players in the world will ever have — taught me more than basketball. They taught me resilience, self-belief, and the importance of having the right guidance.

Now, my passion is to help the next generation of athletes — especially those young players who remind me of myself at 16: full of potential but unsure of where to start.

This isn’t just a career for me — it’s my purpose. I’ve lived it, I’ve learned from it, and now I want to help you chase your dream with confidence.
